Tecnophant is the consultancy practice of Stefan Engel-Flechsig, a Bonn-based technology lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) with over 25 years’ experience at the intersection of information technology, law and standards. His work centres on data protection and security aspects of emerging ICT, and he is a leading figure in European e-invoicing standardisation — long-time chair of the CEN working group on electronic invoicing, founder-director of Germany’s Forum elektronische Rechnung (FeRD, 2003–2018) and lead of the legal working group of the EU Multistakeholder Forum on E-Invoicing.
