JOSCAR is the UK defence, aerospace and security industry’s shared supplier accreditation and due-diligence register, run by Hellios Information. Suppliers complete a single questionnaire whose validated data is shared with 30+ buyer members — including the MOD, BAE Systems, Boeing, Leonardo, Lockheed Martin, QinetiQ, Raytheon UK, Rolls-Royce Submarines and Thales — cutting red tape, reducing duplicated pre-qualification effort and lowering barriers to entry for SMEs. Accreditation (“JOSCAR registered”) is frequently a de facto prerequisite for supplying the major defence primes; the community also covers ESG reporting and carbon reporting via JOSCAR Zero.
